Often, decking boards and substructure are exposed to the weather all year round. Thanks to the corrosion-resistant design in stainless steel A2, our decking screws usually defy occurring moisture reliably in the long term.SPAX stainless steel A2 screws are particularly suitable for use in damp areas and for outdoor use, e.g. in garden design, where they are exposed to direct weathering. Stainless steel is characterized by a high chromium content. This forms a protective layer on the surface of the material. The fixing thread offers the advantage that even after strong shrinkage of the wood in winter, the planks do not lose their firm hold or even start to creak under load. The unique wave profile on the thread of the SPAX to the tip ensures fast as well as secure screwing and pulls the screw effortlessly into the wood. Our compact cylinder head, which uses our T-STAR plus power grip to ensure a snug fit of the bit's blade, provides as little surface area for water to attack as possible and minimizes the splitting effect when the head is countersunk. The star-shaped, vertically running drive surfaces of the T-STAR plus power grip make it easier to place the tool and ensure a firm hold. With this form of force application, no cam-out effect occurs, and the tool and screw are protected. The T-STAR plus power grip also has a small recess in the screw head below the drive surfaces, into which the matching T-STAR plus bit with guide pin can be inserted precisely. This T-STAR plus connection ensures optimum power transmission, long service life of the T-STAR plus bits and a perfect fit. Even processing SPAX overhead is possible without any problems.Optimally usable with a T25 bit.
